Transition of Greenville High School to Indian Valley Academy
As Greenville rebuilds, ensuring the community has a high school is our priority. On November 9, 2023, the PUSD Board unanimously passed Resolution 1639, approving two key agreements with Plumas Charter School (PCS) to operate the Indian Valley Academy. PCS will offer quality programs for grades 7-12 on the Greenville High School campus, while PUSD will continue to run grades TK-6 at Greenville Elementary School.
This decision, shaped by declining enrollment and the impact of the Dixie Fire, aims to provide the best educational opportunities for students. We recognize the 114-year legacy of Greenville High School and have taken this step with careful consideration of community input.
